Now I want to preface that I bought this game thinking it was a D&D-like game.
I should also note that I was playing this in VR.
Pros:
Quick, easy interface with little experience in tabletop gaming required
Story is relatively simple and enjoyable for what it is
It is fully voice-acted with DM-like experience through a mechanical bird
Cons:
Linear story, very few choices that change the overall story (from what I've seen at the least)
The dice-roll checks seem to be greatly hit or miss
Way too many gimmicks in the missions which can make the game feel rather unfun at times
Overall:
The game feels more akin to a VR-ified version of Shining Force than D&D. The game isn't bad, but I wouldn't call it stellar in any capacity.
At the respectable price of $19.99 USD, this game is definitely worth that price range. Give it a go if you like strategy-focused games.
Despite my criticisms, I actually enjoy this game.
8.5 out of 10 from me.
