Very good story. Enjoyable to play

The story was nice and interesting. Puzzles were not always easy to solve thus challenging which is good

I remember I played this game on my mobile phone. I found it amazing back then and I wanted to continue the story. However, I got to the point where I needed to pay in order to progress. So I've let the years go by, I got a job in the mean time and a Steam account. I thought to myself that this Christmas will be different and it surely became to be. I found the Dark series on the Store page and couldn't believe Steam had this game that I've missed playing for three years now. So I payed for it and launched it without a second thought. Nostalgia hit me right in the first chapter. Boy, I remember how happy I was when I saw that I could play without being interrupted by ads or additional payments. Oohoo! In conclusion, I give to my favorite American poet a big thumbs up! I like the way it runs, I like the collectible roses that you actually give it to your friend to end the game nicely. Yes, that's the thing! If you get 32 out of 33 roses, the game won't end. It let's you search all the areas until you finally get it (there's an in-game guide to help you) and after you get all the roses, only then would you be able to end the game beautifully.

i love the Dark Tales series, you get to solve cases with your detective friend and explore a lot of beautifully crafted areas. the characters are all voiced acted, except you. a lot of time and effort as been put into these games by the creators. steam is missing the first two games as well as few others which i forget the names of, which is a little disappointing because The Premature Burial is the third game in this series. hopefully they will be added at some point in the future

The best title in the "Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe" series I've played so far! Beautiful artwork, interesting puzzles and surprisingly engaging plot. Plus, if you're really interested in hidden object screenes, this one's for you - you can barely take two steps without stumbling across one! And they're challenging, too! 8/10

I was enjoying this game, until I got to a HOG where I have to find the letter P. There was a letter P that no matter how many times i clicked it, it would not register. I used a hint, and that pointed to the P I saw. I tried changing between custom and standard cursor, and full sized and windows (the only graphic options), but nothing made the Letter P clickable. I have no way to reset that scene with different objects, and find nothing online. So, I'm stuck because of a bug, which is frustrating as I enjoyed it until then.

May as well clear out some spooky serieses that have been sitting on my computer for some time. This series seems to follow the plots of Edgar Allen Poe’s stories. Of course, with you and a Detective involved. In this one, you seek to solve the mystery of a woman’s death and burial. HO scenes are fun, minigames challenging, and the plot engaging. Recommend in the bundle, just for ease of purchase.

Thumbs up just for the Poe story. I really dislike games that don't have maps. I realize it's an older game, but even the original Diablo had a primitive map (I know this is a different kind of game). But based on the backtracking you are forced to do in games like these, not having a map makes a difference between a game that's great and a game that's just OK.

SPOILER: I got to the end, and was missing a rose, so I couldn't give the couple the bouquet. I went back and got the last rose, but there appears to be no way to get back to the couple to give the bouquet to them. Thus, I can't finish the game. And thus, I can't get to the bonus game. If not for that, this would probably be my favorite HOG of all time. I've played mostly Artifax Mundi games. This one had more clever (or at least different) mini-games, many little hidden things within a single screen in a lot of cases, good story, imo. But of course I have to give it a thumbs-down due to the above-mentioned issues. Update: I sent an email to their tech support. They replied with something unhelpful that was unrelated to the issue. I replied back and explained again, and I have not heard back.
