Okay, first patch came out, gave this game another try. Played about 20 Singleplayer matches. The biggest problem, being the missing left handed mode, has been fixed, but right off the bat, playing the game does not feel like real ping pong. The physics seem off, but I can't put it in words. Compared to other VR ping pong games, the physics in this one are definitely the worst. I have purchased both Eleven: Table Tennis VR and Racket Fury and tested them thoroughly and I can now not get back to this game, because of all the inconsistencies in the physics system of it.
Index support also has been removed from the store site, so people are not made to believe that it supports the Index natively, which is good. But I also don't like the lack of proper support for the Index. The virtual controllers in game are still displayed as Vive wands and that means that the paddle's angle is adjusted to the wands from the start, which requires a little bit of tweaking in order to get it right, but it is doable.
The AI opponents are surprisingly competent in what they're doing, even on lower levels. It's actually a challenge playing against them and their moves feel fairly 'human' for the most part. I haven't had the chance to try the multiplayer mode yet because of the lack of opponents, so I can't say anything about the netcode or anything else in it. Compared to other games, the multiplayer seems dead on arrival, waiting for an opponent for about 10 minutes, nobody showed up. If multiplayer is a big part of what you want from a ping pong game, you'd do better by going for one of the other more established alternatives.
I haven't tried the arcade mode because I'm not very interested in it. All I can say is that there are a few game modes in it if you want to mix things up a bit.
The graphics and environments look and feel very nice and natural, thanks to the Unreal Engine and the game runs perfectly fine in terms of performance. However, there aren't very many environments to play in, which may or may not be a problem for you, depending on how much emphasis you set on changing up where you're playing.
Overall, I can now, after editing my review for the second time, no longer recommend this game, as long as the physics are as broken as they are now. The whole package of the game is well polished, but if the gameplay isn't right, it all goes to waste.

Played this game for a little and going to refund it. it's terrible.
The Graphics look ok/nice for VR experience.
The tracking is good up until you really play a game.
Since i've played Ping Pong IRL, i know the feeling of how it's supposed to be,
But sadly my brain gets confused because the ball doesn't do what I expect it to do with certain motions of my hand.
Multiplayer didn't work for me at all.
I got the game on 50% discount and tbh, i regret it.
This game is clearly in Alpha/Beta/Early Access Stage.
It's boring, not much to do and the most frustrating part, I barely can beat the easy AI
Because while i try to give a fast ball, it flies off to stratosphere, and the AI can give me fast and precise shots.
Anyways At the moment i would give this game a 3/10. For the effort.
Things to improve:
- Good hand tracking, so the ball gets hit at the right angle and speed that you intent it to do.
- Multiplayer fix
- Maybe a single player story campaign? instead of just levels that all look the same and boring.

Got this despite the reviews about bad physics. Played a few games so far and was able to pick up the game pretty quickly and start beating the easy AIs. I'm not a massive table tennis player so idk how well it maps to the real world especially the tricky shots but it seemed pretty good to me and I enjoyed it.
The one major issue was that even though this game has multiplayer, I was never able to find a match. I'm guessing there just aren't enough players for this to work. I didn't see this feature in the game but it would be great if you could invite a friend to play with.

After almost 2 hours playing I feel that I'm ready to give a fair review.
Pros:
-Amazing graphic, great ambient sound. The places you play doesn't feel empty.
-Hard AI is really hard.
-You can adjust your bat to suit your play style.
-Physics is a hit and miss. You CAN do chop albeit quite hard but top spin is impossible.
Cons:
-As other reviews said, no lefty and no support for Index (the store page doesn't mention Index at all or did they remove after people complained?). Both are non-issue for me as I use rift.
-Spin is impossible for me at least. Feels like playing using very old bat where its rubber almost gone.
-Multiplayer is empty as I feared (you can't expect to find people playing this game 24/7 lol)
-If you play ping pong like me, expect some wall collision if you play area is small.
Haven't tried all the arcade mode but that wasn't why I picked this up so I think its insignificant.
Not sure if we can play against friends as the multiplayer just put you into auto queue.
Conclusion: Try it yourself.
If you didn't like it refund before 2 hour mark. Ezpz.

Great looking game but terrible physics. It feels like you're hitting the ball with a pillow. I was really looking forward to this game... this is a 100% refund. At the time, there is no Index support.

As someone who's played ping pong in real life, the physics are atrocious. Also, the resolution is low on Rift S with no option to turn it up.

English Version:
As a Chinese, I want to say that this game has nothing to do with table tennis.
If you have played table tennis, do not buy it.
The ball is more like a braking bricks game.
First of all, I hope that game devs can find a better table tennis room to play real ping pong.
The table is not made of sponge, the ball is not made of stone, and the racket is not made of paper.
It seems that the calculation of hitting the ball is based on the swing angle change of the tempo before contacting the ball, and then the ball will calculate the position direction based on the position of the tempo at that instant.
But in fact, the contact between the ball and the racket is not instantaneous. You can push the ball forward, or you can let the ball roll on the racket to make a spin.
I can understand that such complex physical calculations are difficult to simulate, but should allow players to reduce the quality of the ball and increase the flexibility of the racket.

Really nice graphics, but that's it. Physics are not good, some of my real life TT moves turned out to the exact opposite result like in real life. Another thing: real TT rackets aren't made of plain wood, the secret incredience is sponge and rubber. This is where a physics engine has to shine. I'll go refund and may check in again later...

this is the absolute fastest i have ever refunded a game. environments & the ambient background noise is very nice but everything else is beyond atrocious. Please if youre going to release a table tennis game GET SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS HOW TO PLAY TABLE TENNIS TO TEST IT!
it seems like the devs got to the point where they just fudged the numbers enough so they could just pat the ball over the net and it actually went over and they went 'yep close enough'. there was clearly no actual real world physics data gathered & no idea between any of them how table tennis is supposed to work.
topspins/chops do not work anything like how they should. the ball is absurdly floaty & slow + bounce seems to completely die on collision with the table. no paddle adjustment settings beyond just the basic orientation & position values (it feels worse than using a cheap completely wooden paddle irl)
if youre looking for a table tennis simulator this sure as hell is not it. if youre looking for a glorified-but still arcadey version of pong then....well....theres still better games out there. all this basically is at the moment is just an unreal engine VR environment display (the environments are actually really nice in all honesty)
