I bought this at sale price, I would be very disappointed if I bought this at full price. It is still a fun little game to play on and off but don't expect much. The biggest problem is: it is 60 levels which they try to make the game seem longer and more worth it but it just the same every level, they can just make it 30 levels I wouldn't be that upset.
I really like the gameplay (at first), the game mechanic is great, little to no bug overall, but every level is so identical, it get boring very fast, it basically had no change every level, they just adding more customers to make the game more difficult, which just drag the level longer without any real challenge and fun, I play a lot of TM games and I know those games are kind of repetitive but this is another level kind of repetitive. I start to yell out it's boring at some point, this is the kind of game you play on and off, not some game that will make you want to play continuously.
Another point is the game artwork, it's kind of pretty in my opinion, but there is three restaurants, all just basically had the artwork change, the place where they place everything is still the same, customers had no different. The cutscene is also very boring, story is good but too many words squeeze in one picture, it also look very weird in full screen, it doesn't fit the screen, it stay on 1:1, not 16:9. It's a 2019 game, it shouldn't have this problem.
I would recommend it if you buy this at lower price, it doesn't worth the money at full price. It basically like a mini game that drag on for 60 levels. I really wish the second one is better because I already bought it together with this one.

Good pace for dishes and photo booth operation. It is challenging but fun and still attainable. Love to play this game. The opportunity for upgrading dishes and machinery is also well paced. Also, enjoyed that you get to try your hands at three different styles of dishes/restaurant decor as it gives you lots of play time in 60 levels but does not get overtly redundant. Fun game!

The best out of the 3 cooking trip games imho, as I haven't encountered any bugs or annoyances. I gotta agree with comments complaining about the repetitiveness. Levels\restaurants are the same just with different tasks\foods.
This game is easy and relaxed. I had fun completing it and I think it's worth the 99 cents I paid for it

The game is slow and repetitive. There's barely a challenge and it's often dull to wait for more customers to arrive when I'm just waiting there. It'll bring a new customer, maybe two at a time. But they're poorly staggered. Overall levels take too long and are too repetitive for me to even want to complete the game. Waste of time and money. There are plenty of other time management games that are much more challenging!

Well... I can now certainly say... That I've now encountered a certain game mechanic... One where... The stream of customers never gets faster/harder. o.O.......
I actually want to know WHO this was made for...
If you mean expert TM players: This is AN ENDURANCE TEST! Also, you need PATIENCE. If you are good, you will be freaking WAITING for customers to show up. First ten levels you might have fun, but then you're like... Ffffff... And all you get is an increase in customer numbers (up to 100 at level 60) and still... No speed up in clients making their appearance!
I mean... YOU CAN make them wait and then let yourself go insane, but like I said, if you are good: you will be back to waiting in no time.
Non-expert TM players: I don't really know. Depends on your level I suppose.
This is not a hard game and yet it's still not as fun as I hoped it would be.
I liked the cute animals you take photos with and a few other things, like the apple ice cream... The robot... Beep boop.
OH for levels 20-40 make sure to upgrade your gramophone (THE MUSIC THING)... As soon as you can that is. Those levels KEEP REQUESTING THAT DAMN TASK!
And unless you are into pain and wish to replay those levels... Yeah... You get it.
There is one side food dish... On level 40+... That I swear looks like dog food... That be hilarious if that was the case.
Honestly, this game killed some time... Almost 8 hours it seems... It isn't THAT BAD, but holy... It needs SPEED MODES/Difficulty modes!
Or get yourself a friend and talk to them whilst you wait for the clients to show up. Lol....

Hum... I guess I can give it a pass. This is a Time management game. The graphics are OK. The music is repetitive. The story is just a filler.
No bugs or crashes.
Overall, it´s kind of entertaining. There's no strategy here, just fast-clicking. 60 levels, so it's long enough for the price. Not much else to say. If you're up for easy, mindless fun for a lazy afternoon, you can do much worse than this. So, thumbs up I guess.

Cooking Trip is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's example/template/tutorial game for a cooking/platespinning restaurant mobile app, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game.
Cooking Trip is a pointless restaurant management platespinning type screen tapper/clicker mobile app. As featured in hundreds of mobile apps, gameplay here is a woeful routine of platespinning... that is to say, you need to tap on your iPhone screen to satisfy various customers as they come in and take care of other little busywork jobs. You'll soon find yourself tapping away madly at your iPhone as you have so many customers all at once! Surely the iPhone is the greatest gaming platform of all time, so understandably the developer wants you to pay them for this free mobile app garbage on Steam.
They've dumped this same restaurant manager platespinning mobile app on Steam before. I've seen this same mobile app on app stores from completely different publishers with slightly different skins on it. More intellectual bankruptcy and plagiarism from these guys.
Here's a list of the asset flips of this asset so you can see for yourself:

These are all reskins of exactly the same mobile app! What value do these shallow, fake reskins of a low quality mobile app have for gamers? None at all!
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this mobile app will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision.
The mobile app features simple, cartoony 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort mobile apps. 3D graphics programming does require a degree of skill and competence and unfortunately not all developers have the budget or talent to deliver this, despite 3D graphics cards hitting the mainstream in the 1990's. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing.
The controls can't be customised because the mobile app has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here.
This looks and feels like a mobile app, but it doesn't seem to have made it to the app stores. It's unclear why this was put on Steam instead of the app stores it seems to have been designed for. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all).
Regardless, for all intents and purposes Cooking Trip might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a mobile app to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps.
These technical defects push this mobile app below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this mobile app is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 5 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality mobile app is to be expected.
So, should you buy this mobile app?
Cooking Trip has the total ripoff price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. For comparison, the $5 asking price for this mobile app could get you games like "Far Cry 3", "Fallout 4" or "Fallout: New Vegas". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.

Easy, dull, and repetitive. There are technically multiple locations, but they have the exact same layout and the only thing that differs between the food items are the icons. There's no strategy other than getting everything out as fast as possible; aside from a handful of special level goals, you don't need to build combos, and there are no penalties for making everything ahead of time (including hot or frozen items) and just letting it sit there until someone orders it. The levels seem to drag on forever, but there's no progression of difficulty, just a constant barrage of more and more customers.
It's functional as a mindless time-waster if you need to de-stress, which is why I ended up playing the whole thing, but it has nothing to recommend it over any other literally any other generic time-waster, and probably a higher price tag.

This was a fun game, until I got to level 41. I went back to do a level over, as I didn't complete all the goals for that specific level. Now I cant carry on, as the customers are already in the red with waiting (as I load in), and I cant see what they ordering. Its just blank. Even when I go to level 41, nothing is working anymore.
