lazy mobile port of an otherwise great puzzler, many issues. only separate audio toggles, no windowed mode or resolutions, nothing. gotta edit the registry if you want such luxuries. what's worse is, audio settings look and work like volume sliders but with only 2 states, which can be also achieved by clicking the icons. all these wonderful settings are available anytime. except doing it mid-level leads to the main menu, multiple clicks to get back to the beginning of the same level, progress lost just because you wanted to turn off the sound effects. unacceptable. playing with the keyboard would be cumbersome (not impossible though) but zero keyboard support, not a single hotkey, is bad as well. and while there's an exit button, it's only in the main menu, takes about 5 clicks to quit the game. 170 levels in 6 worlds, everything but the 'final' level and the bonus pack is accessible from the start, that's the good part. having to solve all 160+1 levels to unlock the last set of 9 is harsh, and if you dare to skip a level, solving the next will automatically load the first unsolved again and again. skip 19, finish 20, appear on 19 instead of 21, menu, level select, play and finish 22, back to 19, and so on. what the fuck? level select itself is the tedious dragging variety and as a bonus it's reversed. I found the repeated inconsistency in the ui extra annoying, not only for audio but here as well. dragging works on world select but there are also clickable dots, can go from any to any other, great, so why not do the same with levels themselves? or just put all 32 on one screen. it's like they realized halfway they were doing a pc port but didn't bother to go back and do it everywhere. or started doing it, then got bored and said fuck it. gameplay itself is neat, a mix between kami and sinkr. no move limit or timer, the goal is to only leave a single block of each color or just one of them, and to do that you're combining colored sections, a'la kami, then reducing them by clicking arrows on each piece, depending on where you want said pieces to end up. don't have to wait for an animation to finish, can click them in quick succession, always nice, but it can break levels if done too fast, never nice. it may or may not be necessary to time things sometimes. my guess is it's not but I managed to cheese a few solutions, the game accepted them, fine with me. later there are fixed blocks and fans blowing non-fixed ones around, plus rotatable pieces, only in one direction for added inconvenience. functional presentation, okay sfx (except the awful 'block got away' effect), pretty good if repetitive music. unlimited undo is available and it works from the game over screen but not after a reset. level numbers appear when levels start and are shown in the pause menu. some sort of hint system would've been nice. not too expensive and would be an strong recommendation if it weren't for too many easily fixable annoyances. and a broken achievement for the 5th pack, the only thing I don't care about, just mentioning it for completeness' sake. shame.
