Now, I dont normally write steam reviews, but this game deserves one. I wouldn't wish this game upon my worst enemy. This is one of the worst VR games I have ever played, if not the worst. Where do I even get started? This game only allows you to use one hand while steering, which is kinda stupid. Second of all, the "shifting" is just a forwards and reverse, not individual gears. Now the part of the game I was looking forward too, the Roaming. You may think, how can they possibly mess that up. you just load into a world and can drive around. Well, to my supprise, they some how found a way to mess it up. It straight up doesn't work. I would click on it, and nothing. So against my will, I had to do the Solo missions, cause i'll be damned if I could find another player for a 1v1 on this awful game. Ever since I played this, I have been contemplating suicide. They always say Suicide is never the option, but suicide vs VR Racing, suicide is 100% the option. If you are still considering buying the game after this review, please give me the name of your drug dealer.

I really want to like this game, the whole idea of driving a car with only VR controllers is great and if pulled off well will make an amazing game.
However in its current state the controls are janky, AI barely works at all and there is a lack of things to do.
This paired with slow updates really hurts the game in my opinion.
To be fair on the Developer, i believe its done by just one guy which is impressive and in no way do i want to take away the feat of making a game, let alone a VR game.
As long as the dev doesnt give up on this game and tries to make it a more enjoyable experience in the future i can see this game growing bigger.

I've played very little of the game, but I'm giving an initial positive review because the DEV is so responsive to players. The gameplay so far is not what I would like, but the DEV has been open to adding arcade controls and 3rd person view.
The reason the gameplay is not enjoyable now is because the controls are trying to be too "realistic". To hold the steering wheel requires keeping an arm extended for long periods of time, and it is very sensitive to movement, just a slight move in either way and the car goes off the road. I've been driving for decades and that is not how a vehicle operates. Also, being stuck in a vehicle with a roof, doors, and other view-blocking graphics is claustrophobic. 3rd person view would open up the world and scenery to enjoy. One irritation in VR games is when DEVs clutter the view with too many graphics, and the "car" around me has the same effect of breaking immersion. At least add a convertible or motorcycle to the fleet!
One glaring omission, as far as I've seen, is the lack of a menu to adjust the controls as they are now. I would like to reduce the sensitivity of the steering wheel, and choose the power of the engine.
I will be updating this review as I play more and as the game evolves.

Over all fun game and a cool concept. Dev seems pretty ambitious to his project. Be advised it is fresh early access at this point. Currently the only racing is done online with other players. I do recommend for what it will become.

This game had mixed reviews when I bought it, thought i would chance it. MISTAKE.
I use HTC Vive and AMD Radeon R7 370 - which works fairly well for most of the "lower end" vr games I have played, but on this one I had tearing and tracking problems - admittedly my setup is not great.
I did not get $20 worth of game even if my tracking was working properly and play was smooth there are significant problems with input and control that make it too hard to use effectively.
This game has problems:
1. Only one hand grips the steering wheel even when both hands grip buttons pressed.
2. the virtual hand that does grab the wheel jumps round 20 degrees when the grip button is pressed. It does not match your physical hand.
3.The grip does not work consistently and seems to alternate between hands. ie some times i had to use RH to grip because LH did not and vice versa.
4. Sometimes the steering wheel would become ungripped even though i was still pushing the grip button (i have had this with other games)
5. Really recommend using steering wheel controller or add more vibration feedback to vive controller for instance vibrate if you're over-steering.
6. The game does not have its own in-game menu. I am not able to exit. I have to use the Vive menu to exit the game completely
7.The menu system at the start for choosing the car and race type seemed to be a little bit offset so that i was always selecting the wrong - though this might have be my system motion tracking issue.
8.Sometimes if you "crashed" the car would get stuck. Could not go forwards to backwards despite changing the virtual gear lever. Had to use the 'reposition car' button.

Early access game, not bad for $10, but it feels like a demo game. The menus are buggy and I couldn't figure out how to leave free roam without closing the game. Also, I got stuck a few times for what seemed to be no reason. Also, you can only use one hand to steer, which is kind of odd, but if you use the handbrake, it's all you need. The sounds are a little weird, but not that bad. I tried online and after 5 mins of waiting it looked like someone joined, and the race started but I didn't have a car, and couldn't move. I did get it to work once, though. Don't think this is working fully. Free roam was fun for while, but the steering is really sensitive and takes getting used to. The cars looks great, and the map is kind of fuzzy, so they don't match very good. I also couldn't figure out how to use third person. Overall, the game feels like a proof of concept demo type thing, and probably only be purchased if you want to get the game for $10 and then have it when it comes out. Good proof on concept, but need more work. For an early access game, I would recommend, but if this is the final product (which it's not hopefully), I would not recommend.

{UPDATED}
PROS
Cars are beautiful!
City is real minus Peds and traffic.
Works great with Oculus Touch motion controllers!
View gives feeling of true immersion.
Developer is working HARD to make improvements daily!!
CONS{UPDATED 6/9}
{HANDLING HAS BEEN IMPROVED 6/9}
Ok... Early access so don't get your hopes up for the PERFECT game...YET.
1. The scale of the streets feels a bit too small.
2. The steering wheel needs to be weighted.- Cars are HEAVY. Shouldn't feel like I'm in a paper toy.
3. Cars need some form of ALIGNMENT- It shouldn't be that hard to stay in your lane. The steering is TOO lose (especially on small streets). At times I couldn't get more than a few meters without losing control
4. Cars are POWERFUL. If I don't hit the BRAKES then the car shouldn't stop so easy and so fast. Natural coasting from momentum.
5. I drive every day. Humans only contribute about 50% to the operation of the car. Most really drive themselves. Half of the people driving in LA are either chicken shit afraid or blind as a bat.
Great start!!

I really want to enjoy the game, but I cannot recommend this game at the current stage.
Some issues are listed as follows:
1. buggy main menu, buttons are not very responsive
2. you can only steer with one hand. wtf???
3. weird mirror effect on the windshield that blocks your view
4. no collision between grass and the car. when driving on grass, you will see grass in your car.
5. the only playable mode is free roam, which is kinda boring
To be honest, the driving part in L.A. Noire The VR Case Files is better. The game is still in early access, so it may get better, but for now, its a nope for me.
