Playtime: 26 minutes
I bought it on switch about 30 mins before buying it on PC as I wanted to see if it was as stupidly difficult and it's worse because of the trash controls, there isn't a key for the map markers and the day is entirely too short if you're supposed to be fumbling about, you can't hide in any of the many houses/cars/tents that litter the map at night despite night summoning seemingly every boss to your position, like that 3D zombie game whose sequel just came out or is coming out, and even if you make it to the next day if you die you will start the entire chapter over in another RNG map, with possibly different loot than you started with. The quests given are ridiculous too 'find radio', ok where on the map? the red x or somewhere else? ok found the radio, 'its' broken find the repair parts', ok where is that? oh it's night time and 50 zombies just came out of nowhere to eat my liver and the dinky kitchen knife I started with broke when I swung and it hit the tree behind me because you have to actually press Q and E to turn and you have weapon health. I really wanted to like this game, I like that you can stealth it if you want and slowly build your skills as a complete noob during a zombie apocalypse but if you look at the second video above you'll see what looks like a late game zombie rush but no they attack like that day 1, you might also see the freaking van and truck you can't hide in. Some might say if those zombies are really that strong at night a van or truck wouldn't do anything but what about a whole town you just emptied with a bunch of solid wooden houses you can't go in. Come On. The only reason I haven't tossed my Switch out of a window in a fit of rage was because I bought it half price (and my Switch and the games on it are expensive). Unless it gets a few quality of life updates and a way to rebind the controls I'd pass this by until a sale or you like Dark Souls.
