Since I couldn't play since I got the game because of a weird SteamVR bug I now got to enjoy this game for the first time since that was fixed.
It's a pretty basic tower defense game with a good amount of towers and enemies, but I have the feeling that it kind of lacks depth. It became boring rather quickly. To mitigate that a bit it would be good to be able to set the speed to more than 2x, that's not possible right now.
Who knows, perhaps I just didn't advance enough and the good stuff is still coming later. Or perhaps I'd enjoy it better if performance was optimal (I'm using Proton, and this isn't running smooth at all).
If you like Tower Defense games this is likely worth for you for the price, but if you don't I can't really recommend this at this time.

This is my favorite game in VR now. Awesome Strategy game! My computer can only handle up to Wave 15 or 16, and then
it becomes uncontrollable. I hope the Developers come out with an update soon that will better optimize this game so I can get further than the 16th wave. In any event, nice job guys!!! Great game.

Had to stop playing after level 6 because of video glitching. My system exceeds the system requirements. As another reviewer said, I don't think VR adds to the experience with this game. The towers don't seem to vary in function much as they do with other defense games which makes this more of an action game and less of a strategy game. Either way, it was fun but frustrating that I had to stop playing mid-way through.

Amazing mechanics. Thats where the posivity stops.
Poor flickering lighting in vr.
Slow progression.
Really bad tracking (worse than i have felt in any game)
But the f-ing worst thing, difficulty level is too low and no idea how to speed up the waves

hard to even start the mission. took forever bouncing around and having to figure out how to even start a mission. once i got a game started, it was fun, but there seems to be no way to pause to take a break. also, around level 15 it started lagging so bad i had to quit the program. would be better is it had save points in the game. i am disappointed that i will never be able to finish the game. sad. and your neck WILL hate you for playing this.

Do not buy. This game will not play. You cannot get past the initial start screen. It does not recognize any inputs. I had to get a refund.

The game would be fun is it didnt run so poorly.
My experience was playing for less than a hour on a level before it become unplayable due to the large drop in fps.
From what I playd the game was also kinda easy but I did only get to play the first level.

The most damning thing I can say about this game is that it would be a better tower defense game if it wasn't a VR game. With a top down view and a mouse controller, this would be a mediocre tower defense game. Maybe not worth the price tag, but ok.
It doesn't manage to make good use of the controllers and the tower menu has a nasty habit of timing out before you've managed to pick one. And more often than not, it would register me as having clicked the wrong hex or wrong tower anyway. Teleportation movement is a really bad match for a top down command game where I need to be within arms reach of a specific hex within the next 3 sec to shore up my defenses. Especially when the point I teleport to is determined by an arch that continues under the table, outside of where I can see. And the drag movement is very little help when I'd need to drag myself along a 5 meter distance.
Speaking of the board, it's too big to be practical. I can't easily see what's going on on the opposite side of it, and there are no auditory cues or any other assistance in figuring out what is going on. Tower defense relies on maintaining an overview of the situation, and a massive 5 meter table isn't helpful in doing so. I have no control over what's happening on the other side (or behind me when I'm standing in the board).
If you absolutely need to use an expensive VR head sets to play tower defense games, you don't have a lot of options. But if you are just looking for a good VR game or for a good tower defense game, you may want to look elsewhere.

Quick review (and a couple of suggestion)
Is this the best TD game in VR? No (that accolade is shared between Defence Grid 2 and Last Day Defence - the latter was rather tragically removed from Steam - but is available totally free on Oculus).
Is it worth picking up for the price - hell, yeah!
This is a pretty standard TD (which is a good thing in my book, as nothing gets in the way of the 'pure' TD mechanics). It has that 'ok, let me try this then' hook that is essential for a TD game. If you like TD, this game is a no-brainer at this price. I know I will sink countless hours into this.
[Suggestions for Devs - slick movement in TD is essential and the movement is workable in this - once you get used to it. But it took me a little figuring out. You may run the risk of people not playing the game due to initial frustration with the movement. I am on Rift, where we are blessed with a thumbstick - the most logical control scheme would be to bind turning to the left thumbstick, and movement to the right thumbstick - simples! Every Rift owner will bless you when you patch this in). Add a little glide on the movement l(see Brass Tactics for the ideal movement system for a tabletop game) . Game is still playable, and fun, but these small adjustments would go a long way. BTW - good luck with the sales, the game deserves to be successful.]
