I like this game but the performance is horrible. Especially in the later levels. Developers just dumped the game on Steam and left. Whatever you do don't buy this game.

Game is shockingly bad. Buy for amusement value only.
Also, couldn't get it to work without deleting a file - check discussions.

As a VR arcade lover I must say I am quite disappointed.
For Oculus users the gun is facing up
There is no feedback on the triggers when shooting
No controller vibration feedback on oculus
The sound is everywhere and very bad

This was a close call on whether to give a positive or negative recommendation. This isn't a good or a bad game per se, but rather a completely mediocre and forgettable stand still zombie wave shooter. Unfortunately, the core gameplay just isn't good enough for me to give this even a neutral positive recommendation.
I will say that Waves of Death VR, unlike most VR games, does have quite a bit of content. I don' t think it's worth it for $20 USD, but it may be worth $4 USD on sale (what I paid on Steam). There are lots of levels, many weapons to use, and even several somewhat interesting boss fights. There's even some opening cinematics and nice environments.
Unfortunately, the enemies (trash) in between the boss fights are not interesting to decimate with your weapons. The zombies / undead have different skins, some have armor, and some walk faster or slower, but they all behave in exactly the same way: they walk right up to you with seemingly no intelligence. Once you get some better weapons, they all go down pretty fast too. The only challenge is the sheer amount of zombies on screen, as well as your reload speed.
Weapons automatically reload. You don't even have to aim. In fact, aiming down sights will only slow you down. One handed hip fires is what you need. So while weapons are different with different damage, weapon spread, fire rate, etc., they don't really end up mattering all too much (faster reload is the best stat). This is arcade action, but it's just not very interesting.
It might be interesting if the sound-work had been better done or if zombies that explode or attack you from distance or even flying zombies or maybe even zombie dogs had been part of the challenge. Unfortunately, the only challenge is the number of zombies, combined with how fast your weapon reloads. You keep your head on a swivel and shoot anything that moves. The sounds and music doesn't really alert you to where the zombies might be.
That's a shame because there are plenty of weapons. There's even power-ups for health, money, ammo, etc. You can even unlock new attachments or weapons as you go along (buying doesn't really help although it's good for more ammo). The boss fights, while not great, are still interesting and change-up the formula. At the end of the day though, getting to the boss fights just isn't interesting enough. This game is challenging though, especially outside of easy difficulty. It may be worth $4 to some.
Rate 4.5/10. There are much better zombie wave shooters in VR, for a 2020 VR release, this is lacking.

awesome game, at least the Demo If you are using a Oculus.
If you are using a Oculus and you purchase this game, your guns will be facing up, not forward.
Works perfect in the Demo, but not after you buy it.

Poor performance on loading, options suck, constant crashing, gun physics are poor, gameplay is poor, use of foul language is overdone, and overall the game is not ment for anyone. This game should be removed from Steam entirely or the price should be worth $0.50 to compensate.
IF YOU WANT A ZOMBIE GAME GET ARIZONA SUNSHINE! DO NOT SPEND A DOLLAR ON THIS!

I would pass on this game... I played the first 2 levels and there was no escalating challenge.
The game was just really just grinding skeletons while the a voice said explicit things. I dont mind swearing but there was a lot of it and it was pointless.
Over all the game looked okay, but just really was not fun.
