I'd wait for a sale.
Don't get me wrong, Ash looks good and if you are an Evil Dead Fan, you are probably very happy to play as him. His voicelines are a nice edition as well. However his perks are underwhelming. They offer good synergy with other perks but are all weak on their own. So if you are here just to get his perks or to have all survivors unlocked, I wouldn't buy it for 5 bucks.

I mean, it's Ash which is kind of awesome. His perks are mediocre. What WOULD have absolutely made this worth getting would be if Evil Ash from Army of Darkness was a villain. Huge missed opportunity there in my opinion.
So basically, it's a skin. Meh.

I would give this a negative review as his perks are terrible and he makes ridicoulously loud noises, but I am just so happy they added a character from such a niche game as Poker Night at the Inventory 2 and got the champagne guy from Spider-Man 3 to voice him that I just couldn't give it a negative review.

Groovy.
As an actual review, all of his perks are either niche or just bad.
Buckle Up is the worst offender, having effectively no use at all.
Flip-Flop is good for some fun builds if you're coordinating with friends, like a breakout + saboteur squad.
Mettle of Man, while mostly garbage, is incredibly fun to use. I use it nearly every game just because when it works it causes great shenanigans that otherwise would not be possible. Example being taking one hit for someone being carried, taking another hit with Mettle of Man and then using a Styptic Agent so you take 3 hits total for someone which is usually enough time for them to wiggle out (unless they have Mad Grit).
Ash himself in his default outfit sticks out with the blue shirt and is also top 5 loudest survivors in the game in both uninjured breathing and injured grunts.
Not really worth it unless you're either dedicated to the game and want every DLC (in which case why are you looking at this review anyway) or like Evil Dead.

If you're here for perks, no. Just no. If you're here for Ash though.... Hail to the King, Baby.

As an Evil Dead fan, I was excited when I heard about this guy, and I would say they delivered. Mostly...
First of all, let's talk about the Survivor himself: Ash Williams. Ash is the only survivor who talks and the only survivor who doesn't have normal cosmetic options (With Ash having Hand cosmetics instead of Head cosmetics.) They also did a great job making him look exactly like Bruce Campbell, who they actually got to do all the acting for Ash. If you're an Evil Dead fan, this is great, however, as a Dead by Daylight fan, it's a little underwhelming.
As of right now, Ash probably has the worst teachables out of any character, with one being okay in some builds, while the other two are useless garbage. Let' s go over them.
Flip-Flop- When you get downed, you can recover from dying state, and about half of your recovery progress is turned into wiggle. This is the okay perk I was talking about. If you're against a slugging killer, this helps you wiggle out, however you only get half the progress. If all the nearby hooks are open, it won't help that much, Unbreakable is stronger.
Buckle Up- The more your dying teammate has recovered, the more their aura shows. When you heal a dying survivor, you both see the killer's aura for some time. This is quite possibly the worst perk in the game. It's easy to remember who went down first, so you're better off just going to them first , and they're probably fully recovered. Also, seeing the killer doesn't help very much, as terror radius exists.
Mettle of Man- Taking 3 protection hits gives you endurance, which will let you take another hit before going down. Once you heal, the killer sees your aura for some time. Increases chances of being obsession. This perk was broken when it came out, as protection hits weren't needed, and only being hit was required. Of course, they nerfed it, but it was nerfed badly, and now it's useless. Taking 3 protection hits is hard enough, but sometimes the game doesn't even count the hits. Not a great perk.
Overall, I would say this is a good DLC for horror fans, but not that great for people who just play DbD.

He's one of the loudest survivor in DBD, really depends on Iron Will to get better chance at survive a trial.
Mettle of Man = Need a bit of effort to activate.
Flip Flop = Kinda situational, works better with Boil Over.
Buckle Up = Kinda useless, sadly Dark Sense is better.
This version of Ash just run, far from being a badass demon slayer.
But for Evil Dead franchise fans, this DLC is a must have. Hail to the King baby!

What's not to love? Though I thought this was an April Fools joke at first ;)
Honestly, I think it was a missed opportunity to have Ash be the Hunter and have everyone else play respawning deadites trying to escape El Jefe.
