They have managed to sell these same packages over and over again BUT they are still some of the most fun to play with friends and family. This pack has the murder trivia game which is our favorite and frankly I don't remember which others, as we've bought them all and have our favorites from each pack.

interesting pack, some good ideas, some half-baked.
trivia murder party (TMP) got a second version! its very similar to the first one, but has more minigames, the final round is a little harder, and its all wrapped into a horror movie blanket. if you like some trivia, and you like it a little on the horror side, TMP2 fits the bill.
role models is my personal favourite here. after picking a prompt, each player moves every other player into a class in that prompt (example: which of these characters from twilight are you?). if the majority of the group agree on one choice given to that player, they get the role + points. in case of ties, various minigames are employed. its a mix between a Buzzfeed personality quiz and a Jackbox game. people will often tell you its a good game for people that know each other, but i found that its actually an okay icebreaker as well. if you are comfy with sorting people based on pure vibes alone.
joke boat is a simple game about making puns (and by puns i mean "how many ___ does it take to screw in a lightbulb" type puns). not much else to add. my group likes this one but ironically. i am not sure theres a different way to enjoy this one.
Dictionarium is Urban Dictionary, the video game. get a non-existant word and do a definition, a synonym, and a sentence with that word. by round length, its the shortest game in the entire lineup of jackbox. fun if you dont have much time.
push the button is a shot at the social deduction game. crew of humans, few aliens, and players do tests on each other to find out who the alien is. aliens get slightly different prompts on tests to make em stand out. not the greatest social deduction title, but not the worst one.
after buying a good starter pack (like 7, 8, 5) this is a nice one to buy as your second pack.

The Jackbox Party Pack 6, released in October 2019, is yet another entry in Jackbox Games’ widely beloved party game anthology. Like its predecessors, it bundles five distinct games into one package, each with its own quirky personality, gameplay mechanics, and social interactivity. While the core formula remains the same—players use their phones as controllers and join via browser—the sixth installment attempts to refine and innovate upon what’s worked in the past. In many ways, it succeeds, offering one of the stronger collections in the franchise, though it also exhibits a few familiar growing pains.
The crown jewel of the pack is undoubtedly Trivia Murder Party 2, a sequel to one of the most popular Jackbox games to date. This morbidly funny trivia game plunges players into a horror-movie-style contest of wits where wrong answers can lead to mini-game death traps, and ghosts continue competing even after they've "died." The polish and pacing of this sequel are noteworthy—challenges are more varied, the writing sharper, and the game’s new mechanics (like the final round twist and room hazards) add just enough novelty to keep returning fans engaged. It’s both welcoming to trivia lovers and spicy enough for more casual players to enjoy without feeling overwhelmed.
Role Models is another standout, though it’s slightly more niche in appeal. It asks players to categorize each other into roles (e.g., which person in the group is most like a classic horror villain or a type of pasta), and the results are used to generate humorous psychological profiles. The charm of this game is rooted in how well the players know each other, making it an ideal choice for close friend groups rather than strangers or casual acquaintances. It cleverly promotes laughter and introspection, but it can falter with groups that aren’t already socially comfortable.
Push the Button tries to capture the social deduction magic of games like Among Us or Werewolf, pitting humans against hidden aliens trying to sabotage group tasks. It’s ambitious in concept, and when played with the right crowd, it can lead to tense and hilarious accusations. However, it’s also the most complex game in the pack, requiring good communication, longer playtimes, and a full group of players to really shine. The barrier to entry is higher, and less experienced or impatient players may find it confusing or drawn-out.
Joke Boat, unfortunately, is the weakest link. A game about writing and delivering jokes in a stand-up format, it has a promising premise but stumbles in execution. The input system is cumbersome, and the humor often feels forced due to its mad-lib-style construction. Unless your group has a knack for improv comedy, it can feel awkward rather than funny. There’s some fun to be had with the intentionally bad delivery and retro cruise-ship aesthetic, but it rarely lands as solidly as other writing-based Jackbox games like Quiplash or Tee K.O.
Finally, Dictionarium offers a lighter, more casual experience centered on inventing definitions for made-up words. It’s simple, easy to learn, and reliably funny—especially as players vote on silly phrases and absurd linguistic interpretations. While it doesn’t have the depth or chaos of some other entries, it works well as a warm-up game or a palate cleanser between more intense rounds. Its strength lies in its universal accessibility and creative freedom, which makes it a safe pick for mixed-age or mixed-skill groups.
Visually, The Jackbox Party Pack 6 benefits from the studio’s continued evolution in art and interface design. Each game has a distinct visual identity, with polished animations and intuitive UI. The games run smoothly across platforms, and the mobile-based input is as responsive as ever. Online play via screen sharing remains viable (though not officially supported), especially with the rise of services like Discord. One minor criticism lies in the lack of true solo or AI modes, which limits play to social settings—understandable, but still a missed opportunity for some casual enjoyment.
Overall, The Jackbox Party Pack 6 is a strong contender in the series, offering a varied and mostly successful set of games that encourage laughter, conversation, and social bonding. While not every game is a homerun, the highs—especially Trivia Murder Party 2 and Role Models—more than make up for the lows. It’s a recommended buy for fans of party games, streamers looking for audience engagement, or anyone seeking a lively game night experience with friends and family. As always, the value of the pack is deeply tied to the people you play with, but when the chemistry is right, Pack 6 delivers a memorably entertaining time.
