Improved but still missed some potential
Starting with the most important one. They removed the factor of losing your progress. You keep everything and from there you will only get stronger. Very good, more fun less stress. Stress is not a bad thing in general but PC2 or PC in generel doesn´t feel like a "serious" management or RPG Game. They try to land one joke after the other. Alot of cameos with famous characters or persons from movies/games/Pop-culture. And i love it, i grew up with that stuff. But thats my point, PC2 does not want to be taken seriously, so expect a more relaxed or chill gameplay. And they did that pretty ok, at the beginning it kinda feels like a grind. But the more you understand how to spend time or manage stuff the better and easier it goes. The fighting is way deeper than in the first title. You still level up your stats and become stronger. But they implemented more fightingstyles and added passive perks/buffs/effects which are way more important than pure statpower. Which is fun as well and adds some interesting layers to the usual repetitive gameloop. Sounds all ok and good, but now i will move on to the part where i think they could make this game way bigger or "better". The player has many options how to fight or how to earn money or spend time, i think they could have added more Animations to it. The Game looks good, of course. But to many attacks look exactly the same which is sad. This game is about fighting, but sadly after some hours you will have seen everything. It could have been way more fun if some of the Attacks had some unique animations. No spoilers but there is literally a "special Move" from another Game (famous 2D Fighting Game) which is clearly NOT A PUNCH but it is displayed as one. I could not believe that it was shown like that. I was so hyped first and then "erm....that was it????" Also for the activities it could have feel less "grindy" if simply some background animations would switch between each other or the character would just stand somewhere else. But nope, its the same thing over and over. Even after you gather your own school (seen in the trailer and Screenshot) i still don´t get how they missed that chance to add some flavour to the game. Why is he wearing a blue belt? why are the students keep their white belt all the time? Just by adding different colours to them over time would have been such a great detail. Imagine you start with a white belt student and as you level up and train you see him become a black belt after some time. I am not even asking for some special Animations/Cutszene. Just make the damn thing yellow->green->blue->red->black or which order they like. I mean the Devs call themself "lazy" in one of their jokes which i also liked very much. But sadly it is true. So many characters and chances to build something way bigger and epic while still being funny. They dodged this one really hard. You meet someone really cool and think "yeah i hope i will see him again." Didn´t happen. You start a really interesting sidequest and suddenly "ah ok. thank you have a nice day." Boom. Over. Over all the game is a solid fun game to play. I would not recommend the full price tho. The last chapter of the game feels rushed and i dont know if this had something to do with budget or time but it was a really weird way to end the game. Is this game boring? no absolutely not. Is this game fun? Of course but dont expect some Top-Tier Gameplay. Is this game one of those which gets you hyped and tell your friends. Not at all. I am sorry if this sounds brutal but i hoped for more. And telling you something else would be straight up a lie. 6/10 overall.
