Never knew my life can bingsoo this way…
Miracle Snack Shop is a Korean visual novel title which features well-made Korean voice acting. You can also notice a different kind of narration and mind settings of the characters. Personally, I really love the metaphor part regarding the shaved ice toppings. Unlike the owned store’s name states, the shop itself happens to be quite unpopular – which is partially caused due to eerie rumors including paranormal events taking place in the building. Seolhwa is a quite discouraged given the lack of customers, until one day a big change occurs after encountering a foreign woman dressed in a bizarre attire. The game story plot is very relaxing and while the MC’s face is not displayed, the art coming to CGs and character sprites is a work of quality. As a side note, the designs are a tad provocative, therefore the game is tagged as mature. The characters are really endearing, especially after displaying their genuine self. Overall, you might expect to manage a snack shop casually, but instead you’ll got a lot of beautiful art coming from characters to shaved ice displays. The story is very heartwarming, and it also has a lot of scenes, which will make you experience all sorts of emotions. This game is recommended if you are looking for a different kind of dating sim offering unlockable content and a cozy story including fantasy elements.

I don't honestly like shaved ice, but I do love this game sooooo much. Unlike a lot of other VNs I've played, its writing is very thoughtful and the story is quite engrossing and super sweet. The English isn't perfect, but it is very well done still and makes for a pleasant read. The shop management gameplay element is very simple, but that's fine as it really just serves as a means to progress the story anyway. All in all, it makes for a very enjoyable reverse isekai.

Fantastic VN. Great worldbuilding with a surprisingly mature story (not dark, just mature), natural dialogue, beautiful art, good voice acting (Philia's VA's delivery seemed a bit quiet at times) and enjoyable music with a fun little shop management sim to boot. My only two gripes with the game was for it to be little bit longer as it took just about 11 hours for me to 100% it and for both routes to be as equally engaging as one girl gets a WAY more interesting plotline that's much better built (only she gets an After Story which is definitely a must-have). But these are minor complaints to an otherwise wonderful VN and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to not just veterans of the dating/romance genre but anyone who's curious about it as well. I'm sure you'll have a great time :)

Another fav VN, Generally Im not a VN fan, I get bored of them pretty easily as I would rather just watch a movie or play a game then do half and half. HOWEVER, this VN is truly great, Its so wholesome, the premise is so cute, the art is fantastic, the writing is so wholesome and funny. The characters are very likeable and the voice acting is top notch. I usually prefer Japanese voice overs but this voice over was so good that Im sold on Korean voices now. Your first playthrough should take about 8.5 hrs if you decide to read all the text and listen to all the voice lines like I did. Thats just how good the voice acting was even though I cant understand korean. The art in this is fantastic, probably the best art Ive seen in a VN style game to date. If you here for erotic stuff then there isnt that much, the furthest you get is basically like bikini/underwear stuff. The music is good, it really fits the mood, and it surprisingly manages to not get repetitive even after listening to it for hours, theres not all that many tracks but its enough that you dont get bored of them. The story is great and theres a bunch of endings, and I want to see them all now. You basically get the choice between 2 girls for this game. One is an Isekai ice queen who visits you through a portal, the other is a streamer/youtuber. The only kinda downside is the gameplay itself, like the shopkeeping part, Its really simple and has no depth, basically you just raise stats to earn more money and unlock more recipes, but it doesnt really do anything, your money doesnt really matter, most endings need a little money but its really very little, except for the rich ending which requires so much money its basically impossible to ever get it without hard grinding. TLDR: Its great, I would highly recommend, I would say you should probably know if this game is for you or not by 1.5 hrs in.

After finishing the DLC, i can finally say that i might have bought one of the best visual novels of my time. The endings were tied together extremely well in the DLC, and left me feeling really satisfied.Several gripes about it however, there are some grammatical errors in the game and in some parts, the person who is speaking is labelled incorrectly, breaking the immersion. I would like to say thank you to Talesshop for creating such an enjoyable game and i would wait in anticipation for any new games that come from you in the future.

I'm fairly new to dating sims, especially Korean made ones so I went into this completely blind and expecting nothing. The one thing that sort of surprised me, is the fact that there're only two romance-able girls which - at least in my experience, is quite rare among dating sims and visual novels in general. That on itself wouldn't be much of a problem BUT the issue here is that both the girls are of completely polarizing character: Philia (white hair, refer to screenshots) is a very proud, curious yet shy and cautious queen of a country in a magical world outside of ours. Mira (red hair) is an eccentric pathological liar and gold digger. Philia's route was very well-thought through, it wasn't only about her but also the country she rules, it's environment, politics and social structure. Mira's route was a lot shorter with less choices and it felt almost as an afterthought to Philia's route - as if the devs wanted to add a second route for the sake of having two routes rather than one, adding to the playtime rather than enjoyment. What ends up happening when you have only two romantic interests in a dating sim and they're both this unique, is that the players will most likely fancy only one of them which inevitably leads to skimming through the less-liked girl's route for completion sake. I loved Philia's route, Mira's route was simply unnecessary. Moving on to the gameplay, Miracle shop is 90% visual novel, 10% shop management sim. The sim part is very basic, almost lackluster, but it doesn't hurt the overall experience as it provides breaks in reading which could increase entertainment value for some players. It also allows for added variety of endings depending on your shop's performance at the end of the play through - day 302 being the fixed time limit. Note that you aren't supposed to complete all routes and endings in one play through as each ending rewards you with a percentage boost to your shop's popularity and sales in your consequent new games. All text is skip-able after it's been read once, so additional play throughs are considerably quicker. All things considered - the game's alright. I disagree with the overwhelmingly positive rating, I'd give it 7/10 overall or separately: 9/10 for Philia's route and 4/10 for Mira's route.

Overall this was a really fun game to play. I would recommend this game to those who enjoy a good story. Pros: -Amazing Artwork -Interesting Characters -Great Story Cons: -Short -Mira's route was kind of lacking the detail and effort put into Philla's route -The tycoon "gameplay" was lacking and kind of boring -No Steam achievements Overall, I really enjoyed this game. While the gameplay was lacking, the story itself was worth it.

I came for the snacks, I only got shaved ice and salt (not a bad thing). It was like babysiting an isekai protagonist coming into our world. The story was pretty nice and there were some hidden plots I was not expecting XD Gotta get money for days for the youtuber girl route lol

This is firstly a visual novel. There is no sex or nudity. The game, simulation, management choices are little more than visual novel choices with a little flavour. The text language can be English but the voice acting isn't. There are some minor text mistakes that make no difference to the game. If you like visual novels this is a nice work. If you are looking for game play, nudity or adult content this is not for you
 WARNING VERY SOFTCORE
The erotic stuff in this is pinup material at best, don't expect much. You also get like 6-8 pics in your gallery, keep that in mind. The game is well polished visually with more interesting replay value than the average visual novel because of the shop management which might also mislead you in the screenshots, it's actually pretty simple. There's also a mechanic where each ending gives you a permanent buff in future runs so completionists will have less and less to worry about as far as running the shop goes. It has a few minor flaws but they remain few and minor.
