Hello= If you plan to buy this game Please DON'T This game sucks so bad the Dev's have no Idea how to make a game that play's If I could get my money back I would When you are playing you are not allowed to move the map which allows the AI to see things you can't Bye

The Game is really interesting and the best part is its very addictive. The Enemy AI is superb which makes the Game more interesting. A must try and a worthy game.

Bloody good deal on this title for it's price! Despite some minor bugs which could be polished this is a brilliant coffee-break game Models and particle effects are done really well - you can feel the blasts. Music is reptitive but catchy Sound effects are spot on. The reward points / upgrading system takes the game that much further for those who play games for a sense of achievement outside of simple point score, level clearing, game mastery Recommended all the way And yeah, only played fifteen minutes but it only takes fifteen minutes to recommend.

I wanted a nice board game where I can move some little army guys around a board and have them fight, but didn't want something super complex, and this nice little casual game hit the spot just fine. I don't know if anyone plays online but it's a fun time killer with a good theme and a price to match. It's in a humble bundle right now so I'd imagine there will be some people on.

There is potential in the game. but the gameplay feels undeveloped. - The flag is not well protected. It is possible to win just by moving a single piece in straight line until the enemy flag in the central column. - The way the pieces move makes slow and difficult to mobilize your army, the game will finish and half of your army never moved. -You don't have the feeling that the pieces support each other, you just keep moving one piece until it is destroyed. -There are several extra features but these are locked until you reach a certain level instead of being available since the beginning to give more variety to the game.

UPDATE: This game was Dead on Arrival in terms of player base and updates, unfortunately. I should have went with my gut after reading the dead Discussion Board. This game should be FREE. This is an actual, legit simple PC "wargame" using simple miniature toy army rules! How I have dreamt of this. This is more like chess than Advance Wars, but that's fine. The Good - Very easy rules and tutorial. About the only thing which I didn't get at first is that the men move exactly as the die rolls (not within the range). But that took a minute or so for me to see, and is on the same page with real wargame rules anyway. - A few things to unlock to change the dynamics of the game will motivate you to invest more than just a couple of games into this. - AI is OK. - Options allow fullscreen and unlimited turn time. - Good concept. Needs Improvement - The infrantry just standing there once you touch your opponent's last row (non-flag) is lame. How about at least points, money, or moving left and right? I assume the game becomes too easy if they move. Devs need to think of something, though. Because IMHO, the basic strategy is broken if only the middle infantry is worth anything for End Game victory. (And when you add the option to plant a landmine on the flag, he's worthless too.) - Only three units? - Some early grinding to unlock stuff prevents users from seeing the game's actual potential. - Had a bug in the tutorial during the rocket level, so I just restarted the application. - Was waiting around in multiplayer but it did not connect. - The core and basic gameplay are here (except infrantry), but I would have liked some more bells and whistles to change things up a bit, or perhaps a campaign mode, troop leveling, more AI opponents, special pieces, or story to make me feel like my army is evolving. - No modding. Imagine playing G.I. Joe or even fantasy, comic book, or sci-fi armies. - Frankly, this could be free on Kongregate- no offense meant at all. After all, Chess Evolved Online has 1000000 more things to do and is free. Ha, just checked, Board Battlefield is free on Android with ads. - Not as fast as it ought to be. - The additional air support and other powerups ought to have been handled differently. It is "optional" for you and the AI, so it takes the fun out. Most are not needed to win. Conclusion Recommended if you are into a nice, clean, basic, classic wargame. Don't expect much long term, though. I doubt I will be playing anymore.

Not that bad, but definetly would need some polish, but seems to be abandoned... Oddly enough, if you leave the "Dice luck" option as is untouched, the game still favours the CPU player... With "Lucky for Player", favours the player so much that you can win in few steps... Also, what kind of dice is that where you can only throw 1-2 and 3? The multiplayer is completely dead, no one plays, cloud save is not existing anymore, and best of all: The Exit button doesn't work in windowed mode... :DDD And that weird crackling sound sometimes...

It's not very good. The base game is heavy on RNG and light on strategy, you can't zoom all the way out and lock the screen so it likes to move around in a distracting way, every time you level up it resets a bunch of options and you have to manually lock them back down (seriously, how hard is it to get a stable options screen right?), it still makes some sounds even if you mute all sound, it's just...shoddy. Skip it.

This is actually a rather fun and easily accessible strategy game. If Chess and Krosmaga got together and had a child, this game would probably be the result. With Chess having the most dominant genes. As the description says, you have to capture the enemy's flag square whilst protecting yours. Every turn you roll a dice numbered 1-3 to indicate how many squares you can move and attack. You then select 1 of 3 unit types at your disposal. Infantry can only move/attack forward mindlessly and are best used as strategic cannon fodder or to take out an unlucky enemy unit in the way. Tanks can move/attack 4 ways like a Rook in Chess, and M270 MRLS units move/attack like Bishops. The game starts out with just this basic premise. But as you win (or lose) games, you'll earn XP & In-game currency to unlock support powers for both the player and AI to use against one another. All of which gradually adds to the tactical depth of the game. AI is competant. In my play time I have found it to use varying strategies to get the upper hand from being outright aggressive, to playing to long war in a hope that it can eventually march right up to your flag. I have found myself losing at the hands of both some very surgical play from the AI, and being at the hands of the RNG of the dice rolls. The latter which can be somewhat prevented with correct unit placements, or fiddling with a dice-roll luck option at the game setup stage. But equally it is beatable and can be prone to surrender when you vastly limit its options. Multiplayer exists both as hot-seat and online. Although finding random players in matchmaking at present is a bit hit and miss. So you are better playing this with Steam friends who also own it. If I have any criticism, it is that what you see here, is what you get. Just a single Temperate environment game board with little to no variation other than what gets added as you unlock support options. So it would be nice to see some Tundra and desert environments, if just to shake up the visual aspect of the game. But for the super cheap price? You can't argue too much here as the game does what it says on the tin. Overall, it's a nice simple spin on the Chess formula. Often best played in small chunks when you're bored. Or, like me, when you often have 10-20 minutes to kill and nothing in your Steam library is gonna cut it. Chances are you will figure out the AI's nuances sooner rather than later, and the unlocks probably are a little grindy to get to. But it's a solid game, most certainly best played with someone else locally, or others in your Steam Friends list.
