Simple tower defense game with few placement locations (and therefore no mazing) but lots of different towers and enemies. There's not a ton to it but it's pretty and enjoyable if TD is your thing.
It's conventional but some of the levels are challenging. You get more to do during the waves as you progress but it's never frantic and has a bit of a puzzle feel. The 15 missions in the campaign only take about five hours to finish so might be a bit pricey for the length. There are six challenge maps as well. I was surprised how challenging Brink of Extinction was just right off the bat. The early levels had me struggling real bad and I had to restart many of the maps to figure out how to sort things out. Once I began clearing levels I went back to complete them without taking any damage (Achievements), this was even more challenging! If you’re like me, need to optimize everything, I think you’d really enjoy this TD!
It’s solo developed, everything from models, texture, music and animation. Which makes it all the more impressive. Many recent updates indicates that the developer is active to respond to any sort of bugs or critics. You can read more about the developer here:

There are a few things I’d like to see in future patches that would improve the game experience:
1. Life bar over enemies and weapons. This would make it much easier to keep track of things. You can spot the bar already by clicking on the objects, but with my 6 actions per minute it would really help with a visible bar at all times.
2. Increased visibility of the range of weapons. Maybe it’s possible to tweak via settings, it was just a little hard to spot the circle at times. Would also be helpful to see a preview of the increased range before actually upgrading that trait.
3. Clearer enemy path indications. At the start there’s a symbol of what you’re protecting, would be good if this icon stays throughout the game. Sometimes it’s not always obvious of where the little bugs spawn. You’ll find out soon enough though and just restart with the new knowledge, but it would be better to be notified directly of where they’ll come from!
Overall a fun and challenging TD, I’m impressed that this is an one-man-job and I think I speak for most of us when I say that we want Correcture Games to keep on developing!

A failed Tower Defense game, indeed it is rather a puzzle game. The graphics are nice and software runs fine, without bugs, but there isn't better to say. The mechanics is good at theory: there are 9 types of towers, each one with 4 parameters to upgrade 4 ranks, and about the same number of foe kinds.
But gameplay soon reveals that there ins't freedom to choice emplacements, zoom cannot be fixed to desirable distance so maps are too small, there isnt way to know in advance when a wave begins and which kind of enemies will come, destroying the sense of build planning typical of the genre, and the worst issue: upgrades are expensive but aren`t permanent, must be bought on every map.
Towers can be repaired, but regeneration system is slow, expensive and all repairings stops when player runs out of money, needing to be reset on every damaged building. As towers haven't status visual bars and there isn't an ingame pause option, is easily to loss buildings due a lack of repairs, and the missed ones are hard to replace due their high costs: loss 3 towers generally lead soon to see a "game over".
All enemies attacks towers directly, and would not be a problem if it weren't for the maths has been implemented wrongly or in an evil way: it may be that towers are too weak, or enemies are too strong, or repairings are too slowly or money gains and prices are bad calculated or balanced, but the truth is product degenerates into a puzzle controlled by the developers, dictating what should be done without margin to player's improvisation.
It can only be recommended to puzzle fans, because players who wants a Tower Defense game must abandon after 5 levels: less of 20% continue playing 10 more to finish campaign. There are 8 infinity mode maps, but due to the horrible design of game itself, they are can barely playable after 12 minutes: less of 4% players endurances 37 minutes. A pity.

Pros:
1. Pretty
2. The perspective was interesting.
Cons:
1. minimal explanation for what gun types are or really what the difference between anything is and as such it was far too easy to just get a single machine gun turret and max it out (at least for the first 4 or so levels then I got bored because I had no idea what was what).

The makings of a good Tower Defense game, but in reality (at this stage) is more a puzzle game with Tower Defense elements.
I don't want to have to continuosly and blindly cycle through various towers to find the right tower combination without some indication (unless I have missed something) of the strengths and weaknesses of the various enemies.

Developer has attended to my issue with the utmost urgency and haste of which is rare and certainly appreciated.
Upon playing, I can say the wait was well worth the time and patience.
I will have to agree with most reviews that claim the game to be "hard" as it is; but to those with TD knowledge this proves just a challenge. And an enjoyable one at that.
