At first glance it's kinda like Chinese web game such as Divosaga but the game is pretty deep and well designed. Unfortunately without proper translation on quest related it will be difficult to progress pass level 70 especially there's lot of somewhat hidden type of quest to unlock new area. It may look dated but the more you played it the more you will noticed that the theme of the game make it doesn't look dated. The game have most of the mmorpg elements such as guild, craft, boss, mount, pets and much much more. Main selling point is other than creepy themed it's also an anime themed game (No more pale skin anime like other steam game, hurray!) with spa feature where you will get smelly over the time which you will receive penalty like NPC will ignore you (or useful in some situation) and will need to take a bath to deal with it. Lantern feature is also a nice touch same with achievement, but pretty hassle I must say. This game actually have plot, arc & story-line. Basically you choose between 2 alignment Lawful and Chaotic (different story-line) then choose race and classes freely. The Instant have lot of fancy game-play, some can be brutal difficult (Oh Blackout Screamer horror~~!!) Honest review: Nice game, really. Oh PVP is still possible even in PVE server....Oopsiee~ There's cash shop but you need to be very very rich to be strong, not half rich. Playing without spending money is actually doable, in fact recommended. The game encourage party play for high end content. I mean there's SSB2 Vegeta wolf.... High end crafting is God Tier difficult, I'm not talking about little alchemy skill that you found.

I like the game, simple, not too confusing and well its somewhat fun. Don't really have much hours to put into it though sadly. If there was English Support for it then I'll definitely play more, but for now this is all I have

It's ok for as much as I can read of it but yeah it would be a lot better if it at least bad basic English for your UI, Skills, Items, and at least the Story quests since you will just be doing a lot of wandering around with no idea what's going on.

looks like thisll be alot of fun when its got an english translation for menus, stats, skills and ui etc. hope they leave the voice acting as is and just subtitle the cutscenes. maybe even the community wants to help translating. would be nice to know a bit better what im doing:P this could be a pretty entertaining game from the looks of things, once at least the basic necessities are in translated.

”An old-school Chinese MMORPG in the world of dark fantasy and Asian mythologies”
It’s nature of MMORPG that always changes in period of time. It’s sad to see another old school gem disappeared and left something I could invest more. Even the game service will be terminated tomorrow; there is something I should talk about. --------------------------------------------------------- X.A.O.C (Xentra Alpha Oraga Crima) is 4 years-old Chinese MMORPG sandbox developed by WindThunder Studio from Taiwan. The story focuses on “Judgment Day” when the “Skyfall Disaster” incident appears and the line between human world and spirit world become blurred. You play as one of twelve characters (categorized by four races as Human, Demon, Half-Blood, Galasu). Each character has different distinctive background, skill, weapon type, and classes to choose. The gameplay gives vibe of traditional MMORPG. You start from different homeland depends on race you choose. Explore the world and progress story via quests. The world of X.A.O.C is massive, full of exotic mythologies and lore and that hold something special for me. Each land has different ethnicity, religion, and culture. Hundreds of NPC can be interacted for bit of background story and interesting lore. The influence of Chinese, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thai, and Ryukyu culture helps to shape up the world design with hybrid steampunk-fantasy theme. From the gloomy street of demon world to elegant palace mount on warship; it’s hard to see this kind of uniqueness in modern MMORPG. Combat in X.A.O.C is what you expect from old school action RPG with fast-paced combo, chaining skills, and buff/Debuff stats to create highest damage output. Easy to master, yet still offer advanced technique and challenge boss fights. In some dungeons, players have to solve combat puzzle to gain huge advantage on fight. Killing is not only one option. The game also offers some unique features like pet vehicles (they have some cool looking design), arena, weapon mastery, hot spring spa, boiling tea, and more. However, the game might suffers from repetitive combat and quest like most sandbox MMORPG. Some objective dungeons can be very tricky and missing textures issue during play is noticeable. The restriction of support language (mainly Chinese) can drive away English audience (developer did their best to translate some UIs due to manpower and limited cost). I had some hard time trying to figure out how system and item work due to language barrier, but I really enjoy most of time I spent on this game. I was obsessed in design, exploration, fun fancy combat, and beautiful soundtrack. It’s just more than killing endless mob. --------------------------------------------------------- At the end, every party must come to an end and I wish I could spend more time to explore the world, story, and character. We might not see the end of Judgement Day storyline, but we used to witness one of underrated unique MMORPG for our gaming experience. So long and good luck on community and developer team… For anyone who interest in artbook/soundtrack which you can no longer purchase via store, I upload files on Google drive. Note, I'm not criticising the fact that this game is not in English, I'm cirticising the other stuff that the game has as in-game features, which makes it an experience that is fun for first hours...then becomes repetitive and worst part, the money sinking in-game shop, or simply item hall. Be warned, it's a big wall of text, but you get the image if you read it. This game was released in 2013, judging from other chinese reviews(most often negative), dated graphics and 1 achivement that reads 2013, and it seems to do somewhat well in it's homeland(Taiwan), but developers, like devs of Perpetuum(which is way worse than this now), decided to promote their game via steam platform. I have nothing against that, as other devs already do it, but both games had a 4 year timeline(2013 for this and 2010 for 2nd game)before they showed on steam, and both games are really niche deisgn wise; this one is a mix of TERA and WoW gameplay wise, wheras the 2nd is a EVE online clone...Which didn't do well. Both games are unpopular, but there's a difference in price and regionality: this one is chinese and costs 3$, wheas 2nd one is english and costed 20$, then 10$ and now 5$...with very small compensation for early buyers... Now, let's to talk about the game design, a.k.a world design. It's heavily(as the store page says)inspired by East culture, such as foxes, masks, swords and weapons, races, in-game activities like praying, hot springs and chinese laterns, along with other stuff. I can say despite the outdated graphics, the design plays for itself. I liked how the towns looked like, I liked the character/races designs, but the character customization; it's fairly limited: only several variants per what you want to change, combined with outdated graphics, make it rather somewhat ugly. Overall, it's good, but not pretty. Words on gameplay now. I wasn't impressed by combat system, due to fact it's similar to TERA and so MMOs, but the fact that you have 3 weapons that you can change in and out of battle with their own skill sets, depending on your class, already made it somewhat stand out. You can both lock on target and attack, or you can manually aim on targets with weapons. Bows for example have high range, but no AOE capability, guns have mid-short range, but good DPS, expect AOE, swords have fast swing speed, AOE, and damage output, but no range. You can also jump and press attack to do a slam attack with any weapon, for a chance of stunning enemies, and dealing damage. That's for 1 so called ranger or what it is class. I liked the diversity of stuff, but it's nothing special. On technical side of the game, it is broken. I had several lag spikes, crashes, bugs, unintended situations, like small hallways, where a mount is supposed to pass trough, but you have to manually move trough them via dismounting or else, poor pathfinding for auto moving, confusing UI, despite the translations, broken collection system that consumes ALL items if it's stackable instead of only 1 stack, while also taking away items with no ability to take it back, ESPECIALLY if it's a shop item...Plus the system benefits paying people(we talk on that later), which is not a good thing. Let's talk about the...oh boy, the P2W issue this game is filled with. Remember when I earlier talked about in-game shop giving VERY good stuff if you invest money in? I was not joking, at all. This game is FULL of it. From sets that are avalible as early as level 1 giving power worth of level 55, from lvl 13-33 set that gives power of 55-75 level gear, costumes with set(and non set)buffs, not just small buffs, but HEAVY, like health regen AND extra guard bars that allow you to withstand more attacks before you get "stunned" and have to recover, steam store bundles that do the same thing, just they give EVEN more stuff to make you feel powerful, you get 1 free one on buying the game, but apparently, that is not enough to be powerful, because you spend EVEN more to get ALL the stuff the game has. In PvP, the one who got the most money, most collections completed and farmed(not bought from store)legendary gear(in higher level PvP), will wreck pretty much anyone that is not a dev, or spent/farmed as much as this person. This issue alone is enough to make everyone with sane brain hate the game. Even chinese(not all)reviews already tell that...And I'm on their side. Remember the collection system I talked earlier? It's a double edged sword; on 1 side, it encourages the player to collect, aka deposit items that are collectable into it, when you finish the entire collection that it displays, like 15 various laterns one, you get a buff that is passive, and affects ALL characters on a server. As long they meet the level requipment for it, like lvl 1 for that one, and level 80 for legendary gear of that level. But, there's also a level 1 collection, that gives 6K HP, 150 ATK and 150 DEF, if you put all those weapons, that have lvl 55 stats, but can be worn as early as level 1...The bundle you get for buying this game already has ALL of those, expect the so called nicer costumes and stuff, but the fact alone that collection system benefits the one who has the fattest wallet, due to fact there's ALOT of costume based collections that you can buy on store, and cannot be gotten otherwise(yes I know you can combine costumes, but this needs ALOT of farming; plus some costumes don't drop), so meaning, if you have like most lvl 1 collections completed, your level 1 characters would have the power of 55 or worse, level 80...Plus giving powerful gear to player right away, free or paid method wise will ruin the enjoyment of the game. The cookie cutter gear can be also used in PvP, which even more makes all of that an HUGE issue. The reviews, that say negatively just beacuse it lacks english, or positively because it has potential, despite the presence of those DLC bundles, you are both wrong; you didn't dig in the REAL issues that plague the game. I would rather advise the developer to even fix your game in first place before even putting in here...The fact that even your homeland people don't like it and the fact it's nearly deserted, makes your game look like a cash cow, that disguises as indie to milk people out...And let people who pay get the most powerful tools to dominate the game even further. For people that pay, the game should reward with stuff to look cool or feeling proud for money, not tools to dominate the already innocent people even further...You devs already deserve that for your failed marketing tactics. Even if it ever gets translated, people would rise the same issues as chinese, so you'd better know it. Please don't pay for people, who didn't even fixed the game for their homeland, and yet trying to milk others as much as possible. While I liked playing with chinese(I met some Taiwanese), the game alone did ruined my interest. If you ever buy the game and/or DLC(bundles)for this game, you are supporting rot, that plagues the gaming industry. And we gonna see more games like this, if you ever continue supporitng them. Even if they were cheap or free. Cheap and free doesn't mean good. If something is free/cheap, but also crap in disguise, no sane person would like it.

To everyone that keeps giving negative reviews because the game isn't in English, there's literally a huge box below the video that's been there since this game was added to steam that points out that the game isn't in English. If you can't even read the box that's written in English that says it's not in English, then I'm not sure you could handle this game even if it was in English. To anyone interested in playing this game. I played the chinese version for a few months a few years ago (and I can't read any chinese what-so-ever) and decided to try it out again since they just added it to Steam. It's more or less a clunkier version of games like TERA or Revelation Online but while still having its own unique feel. It's an enjoyable game if you can get past the language barrier, and for $3 it's worth it just to see all the neat features the game has. The starting leveling experience is pretty quick and it doesn't take long to work through many of the areas. Once you get used to the combat it's a pretty fun game overall. It offers 3 combat types (you can change them by selecting the 4th option down under the ESC menu in game) and the middle one plays almost exactly like TERA. So if you enjoy games like that and just want something to mess around in for a bit, this is well worth the price.
