Wow, this has been a while, I had forgotten about it and then it shows up today. Hesitations but hey, for the price why not give it a try. Well, I'm glad I did! Nice simple RPG with strategic battles, lot's of items and fun upgrades, simplistic but fun. The kind of game you keep on saying just another five minutes. The graphics are nice and there appears to be quite a lot to this game according to the world map I have seen. It's still early but I like it so far and it's for the MAC as well! I'm keeping it for sure! But what is it with the diamonds purchase when upgrading an equipment???

This is a cute game, I like it, and it's fun. You can't beat the price for what you get. However, there are some concerns. First of all, I can't find a way to start a new game. I played for a while until I got the hang of things and then I wanted to start over and do things 'right.' Well, as far as I can see, you can't start over. Second, there seems to be no additional powers/spells for the characters. Except for equipment upgrades, you are what you are regardless of level. Third, there are some interesting bugs. I died in a battle and re-spawned. Nothing could see me and I couldn't interact with anything/anyone. So, I wandered around the map and took note of where everything was. I quit the game where the 'lever' that opened the next level was. When I restarted I was next to the lever, pulled it, and moved on to the next area. Finally, you get snuffed a lot. You'll re-spawn and try the battle again only to get wiped out again. If you've cleared the map of enemies then you can't earn the xp to level and take on the battle again. Game over, and you can't start a new game... Anyway, I do recommend this game. For the price it's a good way to pass time. It's entertaining. Just be warned that there is no character development and apparently no replay ability.

The price is a steal and the mechanics are sound. Combat is quick and has a chess-like strategy to it. If you fail, you can immediately retry endlessly... and here lies the only issue: some bosses are too hard that force you to go back to previous maps to grind for XP, items (used to improve the equip) and try again. About half the time is spent this way, which is a pity, and i'm afraid that near the end it can get only worse. But even if you play for just a couple hours, it costs as much as a cup of coffee, which is amazing nowadays. I am at 5h. I do a small run for a hour or less a day, then retry the current boss once or twice. Give it a try if you like RPGs or strategy.
