Aim Zen scratches a certain itch that you can't quite achieve with any other FPS training method.
10/10 very creative HUGE POTENTIAL aim trainer game. 1 developer took two good genres in their own regards, rhythm and aim training, combined them - made them great together.
The first time I played Aim Zen's Tribal Vision [Hard], I knew, AZ is different than every other aim trainer on the market. In the past, before Aim Zen, I can't count the amount of times that I've had my own music on in the background while aim training in CS2 or KovaaK's when suddenly I feel like clicking along with the music. I know I'm not the only one! Aim Zen is awesome!
I also love that it has the standards you would expect from an aim trainer such as gridshot, tracking, and flickshot but additionally features customizable target preferences. The leaderboards cool too, I think it's a start to making a more definitive community experience.
I'd like to make some requests for the developer, hopefully they see this!
To Aim Zen Developer:
I messed around with the Zen Editor, while it's really interesting - I was disappointed to realize that the game doesn't have a built in mode to create your own "aim beats." For example be able to drag our own mp3 file into Aim Zen and set the BPM for the targets to appear. Will this be a future update? :D
- Mod Support would refine/level up this game so much, please add it! I would love to be able to create my own aim tracks yo~!
- I think more customizable features for practice mode would be great
- Themes for the UI and change color of targets as well as choose between using humanoid shape and circle targets (feel like humanoid shape would be a different mode all together... this is why mod support would be cool!)
I know for 1 developer this might seem like a lot but if we got a year-one roadmap as for how progress should look that would really be appreciated.
I'm definitely going to keep playing this, matter of fact, after writing this review I'm going back into my Aim Zen session!
Overall, I really recommend Aim Zen, there's so much potential and I really hope the developer capitalizes on it. Aim Zen has easily become one of my favorite ways to just chill for a while, focus, follow the rhythm, and aim.
