I didn't expect that I need to learn fengshui in this game 100/10

很好玩，但是到了后期优化太差了。前期可能三四个小时都ok，到了富庶之城开始基本就成幻灯片了快，并且开始出现bug，提示我有一处需要重建但是我点击进去把我晃去了野外

Its a good city builder. I've been searching for one for a long time, and this one is good. The tutorials help understand well the mechanics, and theres a spoonful of chinese culture that blends well with the gameplay. Dont read further for no spoilers. Btw, its a 32gb game, so that caught me off guard. For example, buildings have a blessing/curse rating based on how its positioned in the grid and the roads connecting to it. If its badly positioned, the building may have bad luck and ghosts. The game still has some money/resources management for those who enjoy strategic building. Idk what else to say tbh, I recommend it.

First of all, thanks to those who creat this wonderful game! I deeply love 'Ballads of Hongye'. I don't know why the developer/ publisher closed the game without a note, and relaunch it as 'Reborn'. But now I play and keep supporting both. In the second place, this is not just a simulation or city building game. It contains life. The developer draws a spectacular picture of life, where past, present and future of East Asian culture flow together. You can see it, you can feel it, and you will love it. Last but not least, I need a DLC of 'Ballads of Hongye : Reborn' soundtrack. I need it badly!!! Please release it as soon as possible.

I don't have high expectations for a $1.99 game, but surprisingly, I really enjoyed it. It's a city-building and city-management game, similar to City Skylines, Manor Lord, and Sim City, but with Chinese-style architecture building. Not only does Chinese-style architecture, but it also introduces events from Chinese culture, such as the Mid-Autumn Festival, Qingming Festival, Lantern festival, etc. During these event, NPC performing traditional chinese parade, dragon dance, lion dances, etc on the roads and the building also changes decorations automatically to match the event, making the game more lively. [b]This game support English language, don't believe Steampage that says only support Chinese language.[/b]

This game absolutely does support the English language and I've been playing without any issues. Because I play games using English all the time, the game will load up automatically in English. So you don't even have to mess with the settings as everything will already be set for you. Don't let the Steam warning sway you from getting the game as it is quite fun! It runs flawlessly on my Geforce GTX 1070. The game takes a couple minutes to pop up, but just be patient. I'm not sure if that will be an issue for everyone, but it didn't immediately open the game window for me so I figured I'd let everyone else know. I've had zero issues and really enjoy the beauty of this game. It's a great way to pass the time. I enjoy unlocking new buildings and having my city grow. I'm curious how the areas will look as I progress further. The townspeople occasionally say some funny things and I catch myself laughing over it. I'm quite surprised at the price of this game and really think more people should get it. I almost let the message about the language deter me until I looked up review videos and saw it wasn't an issue at all. I definitely recommend Ballads of Hongye: REBORN!

I cant understand how someone can be stone cold and evil enough to give this 1 dollar game a negative review. man 1 dollar and you got this chilling ancient Chinese city builder. The graphic is pleasant, you can zoom in to observe how the villagers farm and go about their daily chores. It is a game that requires time to read and learn how to run a city. There is a zen mode that you can enjoy the game at your own pace. Definitely recommended if you got time to settle down and be patient in building your city. Cons: 1. Some of the fonts used are too small (e.g. number showing how many resources in the town) or the details when you hover on it that you have to squeeze your eyes to read. 2. UI got a lot of room for improvement. 3. Graphic is blurry around the edge even at highest setting but the style and the atmosphere of the game is good. Highly recommended!
