Take control of a mining operation run by moose. They mine and sell the gems. You need to decide where to spend the profits. Hire more miners and upgrade their gear. Buy new rails and minecarts to get deeper into the mine. The deeper you get the more valuable gems you will find.

After 100% completing Moose Miners (again) would I recommend it? No I would not.
Moose Miners is a incremental game with a slight management twist, rather than simply levelling up arbitrary unlocks to make the number get bigger, you instead run a mining operation where how you position those upgrades can affect the efficiency you gain money to spend on upgrades. This is a novel and fun twist on a incremental game which lead to me enjoying the game at first.
The game is rather simple in style and is definitely not trying to blow you away from a graphics point of view but they do the job of showcasing what is happening to the player. the same can be said for the audio design which again is just doing its job and nothing more really.
Now why wouldn't I recommend this game? At first this game was a novel twist on incremental games and was fun for a few hours and the 100% requirements took around 60-100 hours depending on how much you tried to be efficient. After a few months however more achievements were added that simply took the fun out of the game entirely. There was no new features, no new mechanics, they simply extended the map and made new achievements that had ridiculously high parameters to complete.
This exposed another flaw in the game which is how exponential the upgrade curve is, or lack there of. Normally in incremental games the flow of upgrades and increases in the speed of currency go up gradually at a steady pace, you stay at one upgrade for a small amount of time, get the money and upgrade then repeat, with moose miners there was 100's of hours of plateaued progress where nothing happens. I know I could have been more efficient and reduce the total amount of hours logged by being more active with the game but that would have still been anywhere from 500+ hours of staring at this game and clicking upgrades so I mainly left it open while doing other things.
This also showed another problem with the game being its optimisation, at the end game stages you need that many moose and rails that even with my PC which is severely above the recommended requirements for the game started to struggle to run the game at the same time as having browser tabs or other simple games running as well. often times causing my system to slow down in general. I don't believe that I did anything outside of expected gameplay meaning that this is more a optimisation issue with the game.
Overall I think that Moose Miners is a good concept for a game but lacks the depth and well thought out progression that makes these games addicting and fun so instead it very quickly becomes a boring slog that is painful to get through, on top of being resource hungry, for a casual there are more thought out incremental games to play and for a completionist its a annoying 1,000 grind that doesn't feel rewarding in the end and instead just relieved you don't need to leave it open anymore. Sadly after enjoying it pre achievement update Id give it a 2/10
