First turn-based I've played where the combat doesn't feel like a slog, except for the one time I got to round 43 on a random encounter on third world

Tried to enjoy it. Mechanics are just very wonky and not that enjoyable to use.

I think this game is one of the few rogue-likes with an intriguing story line. Unlocks feel good and make sense, and bring me back to playing the binding of isaac: rebirth for the first time. If i had spoiled the game for myself I wouldn't have enjoyed it nearly as much.

The turn-based combat, the visuals and the soundtrack just make this a masterpiece of indie games

It’s criminal such a gem like this is underrated. Out of all the roguelikes I’ve played like the Binding of Isaac, this one really sits with me. I love how this game’s representation of purgatory is based entirely on the real Hieronymus Bosh’s Garden of Earthly Delights, and it has such unique turned based combat that’s just designed so incredibly well! And let’s not forget the music, banger after banger that’ll make you “feel the rhythm” if you know what I mean? ;) I cannot recommend this game enough, please go and play this masterpiece now.
Also I’d definitely buy a marketable plushie of Hans, she’s so adorable.

Gross and brusque, yet beautiful in its own way.
Very fun, well thought out, high replay value and a nice story.

110 hours and I'm still not quite done with this game.
It looks a little rough around the edges at first, but it's a great roguelike and better for having gotten official workshop support recently.
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy Brutal Orchestra.

Some characters are pretty tedious to unlock. Other than that, great game! Very stylish and creative
