This game is one of the most fun and challenging vr games I've seen since superhot. With Loneliness has the most enjoyable gameplay mechanics, and is 100% worth its price, why isn't this game already flooding the vr scenes? 10000/10 PS: Watch your roof, mine was punched a couple times ;~;

Graphics are very simple but game environment is surreal in VR, reminds me of jet island in the sense of scale & abstactness. Gameplay is an assault course of climbing you can watch the videos to see, its not easy (like some climbing games) so far i like it. How big the game is i don't know but the price was so cheap who cares it's already worth it. Main issue i have is i play with touch controllers & the hands are the completely wrong angle, also the hand animation is really weak. I don't mind the simplicity in this game but little things like that need more polish.

Fair warning: I haven't played any other VR climbing games. I think I've spent about 30 minutes in this game. That appears to be enough to review this game, and I have to hand it to the developers. This is a really good VR experience. It's not amazingly polished, but it is very effective and fun. It's definitely immersive enough to entice a player to keep trying to progress. For the asking price, it would appear to be worth the money. Maybe I reach the end of the game in another 30 minutes of pure progress, and that would be a shame. I would update this review with a slightly more critical vibe. Given my limited time spent, I think this is one of the more fun and chill budget titles that I've played in VR. It's a bit like Getting Over It, but not nearly as punishing.

To make a strange comparison, this is the Oddworld Abe's Oddysey of VR games. You are small, defenseless robot thing (?) trying to escape a cold, emotionless, mechanical beast of a world that wants to see you dead at every corner. Not for those afraid of heights, this will test your VR legs. It's atmosphere is so rad. If you like dystopian science fiction, or just strange intriguing art styles this game will pull you in like nothing else. It's VERY minimalistic but it uses it heavily to it's advantage. Think Superhot, except take it soooo much further beyond white rooms. I want to know more about this world but that would ruin what makes it great. EVERY new section the game is throwing something entirely new at you and it never stops. It's suprisingly lengthy for such a cheap VR game too. Also like Abe's Oddysey, I absolutely loved the experiance but I could never beat it again because FUCK is it hard. It is physically taxing, you will sweat, you will use every ounce of your energy attempting to clear a section, and you will die and fail anyway and have to try again. But god damn is nice when you succeed. I remember clearing a certain mid game section (the main reason I will never play this again) and grasping onto the balloon carrying on me for dear fucking life, terrified of having to do it again. Sometimes the challenge is just straight up endurance. The controls are simple, and admittedly not as polished as some other VR climbing games but they get the job done. I did run into an animation glitch with Oculus touch controllers were the hands are always orientated wrong (apparently due to how the Vive controllers naturally rest verses the touch controllers) but as far as I could tell this was only cosmetic. With Loneliness is a unique experiance I will never forget and something that could only be done in VR. Even though I can't go back to it, at least not for a good while, it's become one of my favorite VR games, hell, just video game I've ever played. At 7 bucks you really can't go wrong.

An Climber Game with an Abstract Art Style (and a Weird Title) Not having played a climber-type game within the last 9-months (last one played was 'To The Top'), this game reminded me of why I enjoy them. Pros: - An abstract, minimalist art style that makes you feel like you are on a different world, without getting distracted by how next-gen the world looks. - Some backgrounds remind me of a PS VR game I played called 'Bound', and those metallic hands you stand on scream out the movie 'Logan's Run' to myself for some reason. - Gameplay is challenging at times; hard but fair. - Saves points are reasonably spaced out (although the wimp in me would love to save anywhere) - The pricing for this game almost makes purchasing the game a no-brainer (unless you're feeling extra cheap). - Maybe I haven't gotten far enough into the game yet, but the game title would not have made me think about a climbing game. The title weirdly adds some appeal to myself. Cons: - Using Oculus Touch controllers, the hand orientation feels off by about 45 degrees. The good news is that it is mostly a visual distraction, and has no tangible effect on gameplay. - On occasion, I felt confused on what to do next (e.g., how to open those blue double doors? just touch them. I tried jumping over the wall a few times before realizing that wasn't going to work). - While the controls work well (grip, release), my own stupidity in forgetting to release one while grabbing the next gives me the false justification I need to list this as a Con. - For how many times I've already died in this game, if I get one Achievement in this game, I'll be happy. Overall (so far), a solid climbing game with responsive controls, a minimalist art style that accentuates its 'other worldliness', that is fun.

I've always loved simplistic visuals and low poly models but this game single handily made me only enjoy david cage level graphics. It truly is an ugly nightmare not worth the money, time, finger soreness, or suffering. It's the company's only game, let alone vr game, and I hope it stays that way

Has some good ideas but some pretty stupid ones too, who thought those flying sticks that don't ever come down would be a nice mechanic. Please fire him.

It's Too Difficult for my Mental Disability! I could not get past the falling stone blocks, and I could not respond instantly after looking upwards uncomfortably as to analyze the timing, while hurting my own neck within the process.

Let me just start out by saying i really wanted to like this game, its grafics are really nice and sound design is pretty solid aswell, and ive hear this being recomended by a lot of other people, but damn does it not market itself the way it should. It is a rage game by design, and i like these type of games but you gotta be clear that you intend on being one. I mean seriously the tag on the store page says casual, and its literally the FARTHEST away from the truth. The "movement is not always easy" is also very misleading, it sounds like its refering to the actual obstacles themselves, and not the actual mechanics. But i would have let it slide if it didnt feel like there was a real oversight with the controls: I did the first ~3 checkpoints with about 2 deaths, i was really enjoying the game, despite the fact that my "hands" were oriented wrong (it was about 90 degrees from how they should have been) and it used the trigger button instead of the grip button (it was really weird why they didnt just use the most natural "grabbing" button) (also, im using a rift s so maybe that isnt a problem for other headsets) Then came this HellishWall™ climb with rocks falling down on you. You have to react, and FAST. It was then that i realized how off the actual trigger for grabbing stuff in my hand was, i needed to grab the air in front of the handles and not where it really should. It also really liked yeeting me off randomly (im guessing the game thought i was pushing myself away from the wall?) and there is also NO way to catch yourself after you fall, even if you try grabbing onto stuff on your way down it feels like the game deactivates you ability to do it. I died 58+ times (including an attempt where it spawned all 3 rocks at the same time where i was near the top) and finally got up to the top. Guess what? i needed to go all the way around to click a button, and for that i needed to go back onto the HellishWall™ to be able to click it. I died trying after the game yeeted me off for the 200th time. For you to have a rage game, you have to be clear that whatever killed the player was the players fault, not of the game, so you gotta have consistent controls and mechanics, they must understand WHY they died. Otherwise it just feels like (or sometimes literally just is) a badly made game. Overall, not recomended, at least until fixes to the contol bindings, collisions, and the weird hand rotation. I would refund this game if i didnt think it had potential, but it clearly does, just not right now, im hoping the devs polish this one up more.

TL; DR: is a GREAT game that screams GIT GUD take it or leave it This is one of those moments when it would be good for Steam to have a more neutral vote. the game and its immersion are really great and its controls are simple and easy to understand but even so I did not have a really good experience, the learning curve is exessive, there is no intention of the game to explain what is what you are supposed to do even in the first level, you have to try several things to know if that is what the game wants you to do and with that you die several times forcing you to start over from the check point, return to the place where You died and try to get it right this time or try something different because you dont know if what you tried the first time was right. and that in a virtual reality game is exhausting. to be honest, for the price I recommend you to try it
